Polo Heritage, Managed by Trance, Jodhpur: Where Legacy Lives On
Located in the heart of Jodhpur, Polo Heritage, Managed by Trance is a landmark of elegance, legacy, and leisure. Designed by renowned architect H.W. Gold Straw in the early 1930s, the property was originally built for Brig. Duncan, Commander of the Jodhpur State Forces, and was later gifted to Late Lt. Col. Kishen Singh of Bhanwari by HH Maharaja Hanwant Singh of Jodhpur. Spread across 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, the hotel offers 23 spacious rooms and suites that blend heritage charm with modern comforts.
Owned and managed by the family of Late Lt. Col. Kishan Singh—an Arjuna Award recipient and member of the Indian polo team that triumphed at the 1957 World Cup in Deauville, France—the hotel proudly upholds India’s illustrious polo tradition. Today, it is owned by his elder son, Thakur Harshwardhan Singh Ji of Bhanwari, a distinguished polo player in his own right and 5-time winner of the Cycle Polo Nationals. This spirit lives on through generations, reflected in the property’s polo-inspired interiors, curated memorabilia, and exclusive polo coaching facilities at the Jodhpur Polo Ground. Guests can also indulge in an exceptional culinary experience at our restaurant - Snaffles, which features a refined rooftop ambience and a private dining room for intimate gatherings. Blending heritage, hospitality, and flavour, this heritage hotel in Jodhpur offers an experience that is both memorable and authentically local.
